Pay It Forward Advent Calendar

Pay It Forward Advent Calendar

I am a little late to the game on this one, but I like this Advent Calendar so much that I had to share, even though there are only a few days remaining in the season.

Noomii is a Coaching site that I belong to.  Via Facebook, I discovered their Act of Kindness Advent Calendar.  My family has been doing what we call a “Pay It Forward” Advent Calendar.  We use a traditional “calendar” and pull a slip of paper from the tree every evening.  Then we prepare to Pay It Forward the next day.

“Most advent calendars are all about the getting. This one’s all about the giving, because we think it’s better to give than to receive. Every day until December 25, we’ll reveal a new act of kindness that you can do for your fellow man, woman, or penguin in this, the season of giving! And because it’s an online calendar, you can share your stories in our daily acts of kindness forum. ”  –

Today’s Act of Kindness is “Celebrate A Win“.  It didn’t take much thought to decide to pen a personal note to my friend Heather congratulating her on the acheivement of the IDCTA Dressage Journey Award.   This award is given to a horse and rider combination that has achieved 60% or higher for two of the highest tests from two different judges of each level for First, Second, Third and Fourth levels.  Heather bred and trained her lovely Irish Sport Horse and this award is truly the celebration of a journey!  I am so happy to celebrate such a win, because it really is about the journey.

Want to get reminded of your daily act of kindness? Subscribe via email and Noomii will send it straight to your inbox from now until Christmas Day 2012.
